New Moon 2nd trailer in English! here we go

Okay so I found the NEW New Moon 2nd trailer that plays before Band Slam in english.  Now i refuse to pay for a ticket to this Band Slam flick just to see the trailer.  So You Tube saves my day again.  I hope I can save yours. Or at least your money for a ticket stub to a soon to be horrible movie.

More Jacob action as to be expected, but at least we get a look at the Volturi scene and Bella's idiotic cliff dive!  

A Perfect Getaway; A flawed Thriller, but a Thriller nonetheless!

So I finally saw A Perfect Getaway, and I have to say it was enjoyable.  However, it is hard to make an extremely good Thriller these days... therefore there were some flaws included.   It definitely wasn't the attractive cast (Mila Jovovich, Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant, Kiele Sanchez, Chris Hemsworth and Marley Shelton)  it had to have been the long, played out hike these actors took throughout the entire movie.  I have to say the Plot Twist was good... which gave the movie points for me.  Yet, all I was seeing for about 70 minutes was the beautiful scenic views of Hawaii.

( if I wanted to watch that, I would've settled for the Travel Channel!)

The story goes that a newlywed couple is on their honeymoon in Hawaii and decide to venture out on a dangerously famous hiking trail.  Sydney and Cliff (Jovovich and Zahn) are so intoxicated by their love for each other and their attempt to have the best honeymoon that they are unaware of a murder that occured in Hawaii.  A murder of a young, newlywed couple is buzzing around tourist, however Sydney and Cliff don't hear about it until they're already in the midst of their honeymoon hike.  They are joined with another couple (Olyphant and Sanchez) that guide them to a beautiful secluded beach, but are concerned by another mysterious couple on the same trail (Hemsworth and Shelton).  The tension becomes overwhelming for the two friendly or not-so-friendly couples and plots are made.  However, which one of these couples are not who they say they are? 

With a twist in the end, this movie is adequate for those seeking a decent summer thrill.  The acting was good along with the action that finally made its appearance.  I always look to my girl Milla to make a good action scene!  

2nd New Moon Trailer Leaked!!!

OH my gosh!  the 2nd New Moon Trailer is leaked...

Granted... its in French, but i don't care.  I refuse to see Band Slam to see it.

Funny People... not so funny?

So, I went to go see Funny People, Judd Apatow's mature film about George Simmons (Adam Sandler's) life altering moment as he tries to regain his comedic self through stand up with the help of Ira (Seth Rogan) at his side 24/7.  This film was indeed funny, but only at certain moments.  With George's realization that he has a form of Leukemia, the movie has a mature, somber feel to it whilst trying to be uplifting and funny at the same time.  In a sense, the movie is a total OXYMORON.  

As I watched the film, I found myself laughing at the jokes that the "bad" comedians were telling during the stand-up scenes.  The actual acting on Adam Sandler's part was good, however, at times I just wanted the movie to end.  Towards the end, (so I thought) George visits his ex (Leslie Mann) and tries to reconcile while igniting old flames.  The entire time, Ira is saying "can we just leave, let's just go"... I was saying the same thing.   The movie was a surprising mature film for Judd Apatow, and I found it enjoyable.  However, there was something about it that was just off to me.  

I don't know, maybe its the fact that comedians are "PLAYING" comedians... and it was just a stretch.   Anyway, the movie was simply OK to me.  I woudn't see it again, but I may rent it when it is released on DVD.  :)

ATTN Twilighters: Victoria to be recast for 'Eclipse' film

Yes it is true.  Today, Summit Entertainment announced that Rachelle Lefavre, the beautiful redhead that portrays Victoria in the Twilight saga is being released from her contract to play her character in the third film, Eclipse. 

According to Rachelle, she was stunned that Summit announced their shocking recasting move so quickly after a dispute between herself and Summit regarding her committment to the production months for Eclipse.  She explained she only agreed to film roles in movies that only had "short shooting schedules".  She stated that she was committed to a film for only ten days of shooting, but Summit explained they couldn't accomodate and that her schedule and their own for Eclipse would conflict.  Unfortunately, Summit let her go and we are all sad to see her go.  It is a D-bag move on Summit's part but apparently they already filled the position for Victoria with Ron Howard's Daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard.  She's got the hair and the skin, but does she have the talent and the fans???

500 Days of Summer = True depictions of Love's Challenges

Finally!  Here is a movie that conveys how Love can screw you over time and time again!  When I saw this movie, I couldn't help but feel horrible for the poor sap, Tom (Joseph Gorden-Levitt) who is love with someone who is not completly on the same page with him.  However, there is a truth to this movie.  How many times have people on this planet loved someone who didn't entirely love them back, and were led on only to find themselves in complete and utter lonliness after finding out?  Millions!  It starts in freaking secondary schooling for some!  You have a crush on someone and you all start off as friends then proceed to believe you and he/she are something more and then BAM...  reality, you're alone on that loveboat.  It is in our nature to love, and to react to our feelings when someone good comes along, however when Tom reacts, Summer (Zooey Deschanel) and her glorious personality and charm she responds!  She responds and then drops him like a hat... OUCH.  However, finally some TRUTH!  In movies we always see happy endings.  We think highly of those movies because it makes us feel good in the end.  What Filmmakers don't realize is that they are conveying LIES!  Reality isn't finding your soulmate, then separating and then by some miracle you all are reunited again after so many years and then you get married! (not an actual movie... but it sounds about right huh?)  Life is all challenging!  Life is a rollar coaster... you feel like a million buck one second then the next you are plumeting down into depression.. it happens.   

500 Days of Summer not only depicts a rollar coaster ride... it shows all the twists and turns of it all.  This "rollar coaster of love" film was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It spoke of the honest reality that is Love and Heartache and dazzled me with its amazing songs within. 

(Seriously, BUY or Listen to the soundtrack.. AMAZING!)

I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone who has either been in love or thought they were in love!  :)  Go see it!  You won't be disappointed.  Look beyond his sorrow, see the truth!
