Batman 3 News! Fox as Catwoman?

okay here's the deal, we all now know (thank to Michael Cain's slip up in April) that The Riddler is going to be in the next installment of the new Batman franchise.  However, will we see a Catwoman?

Rumors have been flying around that Transformers star, Megan Fox is said to be in discussion for the role as the leathery vixen.  I could totally see that, but I don't know if she's firey enough as Michelle Pfeiffer, who was the first Catwoman in the Batman films.  Megan + Leather + Catlike relfexes = Drooling boys...

Here is the dirty truth before you get all excited...

According to Megan's Rep, "Megan is a hige fan of the Batman movies and of director Christopher Nolan, but these discussions have not taken place..."

Sorry to disappoint, but Catwoman's role is still up in the air and up for grabs.

So who should it be?
  • Megan Fox?
  • Rumored Rachel Weisz?
  • Halle Berry (again? UGH)?
  • Jessical Biel (she's in shape! lol)?
  • Anne Hathaway?
  • Jessica Alba (another superhero movie?)?
  • Rosario Dawson?
  • Angelina Jolie?
  • HMMMMMMMM?????????

Craig and Jackman on Broadway?! SOLD

May not be exactly MOVIE news, but it does involve two movie star HUNKS!

Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman are ready for the debut of thei upcoming Broadway play A Steady Rain.  Here is a first photo of the hot duo where they play Chicago cops with more troubles than you can imagine.  Jackman, who plays Denny (a racist, violent patrolman), already won a Tony in 2004 for The Boy From Oz.  Craig, a London-stage veteran is making his Broadway debut as Joey (a recovering alcoholic with a gentler soul).  Rehearsals just began and I can't wait to hear more news about the play!!

Who's up for seeing Wolverine and Bond on Broadway???

I hope they are topless!!!!

Arrested Development Film is ON

Arrested Development lovers have no fear... a film is coming to you in 2010!!

Since its unjust finale in 2006, fans have been pushing for a film to be made .  Their prayers were answered when actor Jason Bateman gave away some details regarding the mythed film version of the TV series at his roundtable interview for Extract.  Here s an excerpt of the interview, courtesy of Perez Hilton...

What is the state of “Arrested Development”?

Jason Bateman: The script’s being written and when Mitch (Hurwitz) is done with it we can go to the scheduling part of it which will probably prove to be a bit challenging given the size of the cast.

And they’re all attached?

Jason: He is asked us not to speak about specifics, but that he’s working on it.

It seems like 5 or 6 months there was a lot of momentum. A lot of people talking about the film. And then it seemed like it sort of got a little bit quiet. Everyone’s a little nervous it’s actually happening. Is it, in fact, actually being written right now?

Jason: Yes.

Now we know! And now all the Arrested Development fans can sleep at night!

Soul Train is A Comin!

I just found out that Warner Bros. has commissioned Malcom Spellman (Game writer of The Sopranos: Road to Respect) to write a feature based on the classic TV dance show Soul Train.
We will be seeing Host, Don Cornelius again as helps produce the film.  Variety says the film version will be set in the 1980s and the story will follow a man with a talent for "POPPING", a specific street dance that us Generation Y babes got nothing on...
This TV show was on for 35 years!  How will Spellman compete with the other dance films coming out?

“All of the hip-hop street dances you see today were born during that time period and were first seen on that show, and I remember doing all of them when I was a kid.” - Spellman

I hear that there are a bunch of Dance Movies on the rise or in production. Footloose (2010), Fame (2009) and I hear that there is talk of remaking Dirty Dancing!  I bet there will be something this new film will have that will stand out amongst the rest of these ther dance films: THE SOUNDTRACK!  Baby Boomers and Generation X babes will love the sounds from their past being brought back to life!  Soul Train was always known for their fantastic selection of music and their scantily clad dancers...  bring back the 80s FUNK Spellman!!

Hmm... my mom loved Sould Train, so I'm hoping this film will live up to her expectations.

Attack of the Remakes!

Okay, so here I thought it was just a phase for the rest of 2009, but no... its still going on & on!!!

The movie remakes are here to stay and they're seriously getting out of hand.

The first remake I heard of that kind of boggled my mind was Clash of The Titans (2010) with Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes.  At first, I was kinda of excited, then I noticed something else... movies are being remade or just carried out toooooooo long

  • Child's Play (2010)
  • Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! (2009) WTF?!
  • The Incredible Shrinking Man (2010) - Starring Eddie Murphy
  • Karate Kid (2010)  I mean really??????
  • Knight Rider (2010) Oh My Sweet Jesus
  • The Grudge 3 (2009) WHY?
  • Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) w/out the original Freddie?  no sir!
  • Poltergeist (in production) Lets hope the little girl doesn't die this time after production (too soon?)
  • The Ring Three (2009) HELL NO!
  • RoboCop (2010) ahahahahahaha
  • The Birds (2009) hmmmm
  • My Fair Lady (2010) NO ONE CAN REPLACE AUDREY!!! WTF HOLLYWOOD?
  • Bonnie and Clyde (2010)  Hilary Duff as Bonnie?  Faye Dunaway should slap her!
  • Hancock 2 ummm  why?
  • Arthur (2010) Dudley Moore is turning in his grave
  • When Worlds Collide (2010)
  • Meatballs (2010) to be directed by the guy who made Big Momma's House 2... oh lord
  • Conan (2010)  ARGH!
  • Footloose (2010) ugh... it was better in the 80s when people couldn't dance (no choreography plz!!)
  • Short Circuit (2010)  WHAT?!
  • The Thing (2010)  I'm gonna vomit CG will make it gross... how much you wanna bet?
  • Hellraiser (2011)
  • The Rocky Horror Picture show (??)  HELL NO, THIS IS A CLASSIC!!!! TIM CURRY ROCKS!
  • Highlander (2009) There can only be one... one movie that is.  LOL

OK so thats the list I have so far of what movies are being remade that shouldn't be really..
There may be a couple, like Clash of The Titans, Hellraiser, The Birds and perhaps When Worlds Collide, but really, the rest should just be left alone...
If you haven't noticed there are a BUNCH of Horror film remakes coming along...  As I said before on my blog, " where have all the scary movies gone?" Well they've gone to die... and apprently come back from the dead as cheesy remakes.   Oh lord... what happened to original ideas?

Get ready ladies and gents, your about to take a spin back in time at the movies for a while.
