Prince Harry the Movie?!

What? When? Where? How?
So Director Peter Krominsky is developing a Prince Harry bioflick, called The Spare.  The film will depict Harry from birth all the way up to the adult bad boy he is today.  The role has not been cast as of yet.  However, Krominsky is is planning to film the movie within a years time and he may even cast an American for the role!  LUDICROUS!

The filmmaker states, "I feel a sense of compassion for the guy. His parents break up in the most spectacularly public way, his mother dies in the most tragic and, again, public way and everything is picked over. He's a man born to no role, the heir and the spare."
The Heir the spare?  OUCH!
I look forward to what we'll get out of this film... Prince Harry figurines?

Red Cliff Trailer

So the Red Cliff trailer is amazing...very dazzling.   However, the only setback.. is it's a John Woo film.   Unless he has changed his ways in Direction...  you'll be sick of the movie by the end.  I really hope that the entire movie isn't in slow motion.   No doves in this trailer...  that's a good sign. Oh wait... there IS one. :)

The jist of the movie is that this historical drama is based on the legnedary 208 AD battle that ended the Han Dynasty.

Phillip K. Dick Adaptation in Production

The Phillip K. Dick adaptation The Adjustment Bureau has started filming in Manhattan.  Lost's Daniel Dae Kim and Mad Men's John Slattery have joined the cast and I'm excited!!

Kim will play a staffer at the Bureau of Adjustments, the mysterious organization that is separating congressmen (Matt Damon) and a ballet dancer (Emily Blunt), with whom he is enamored with...  Slattery plays a high ranking executive in the bureau.

I've heard amazing things about Sci-fi writer Phillip K. Dick, so I'm eager to see how his story plays out on the big screen.

Oh and can I just say that Matt Damon is having one hell of a comeback!  haha

Finally a movie that'll scare the bejesus out of the kiddos

Sam Raimi apparently wants to scare kids these days and he my achieve his goal in his new film.  In a press release yesterday it was announced that director Sam Raimi was creating Spooky Picture, a division of his Ghost House label, wth intentions to make scary movies for the family audience.  Hmm... could this be a reaction to Guillermo Del Toro announcing that he was setting up Disney Double Dare You, a specialty scary movie division just for the kids?  Perhaps a new trend is starting amongst the horror masters to scare kids... haha

Raimi is kicking off his new division with The Substitute, an adaptation of a Danish thriller about a calss of 6th graders trying to prove that their sub is an evil alien.  The writers of The Exorcism of Emily Rose will write this one as well.

So I'm hoping this works out cause kids are seekig out good quality scary movies these days.  (As am I) They got no business watching Saw movies or Raimi's own Drag Me to Hell.

I hope this works out and I can't wait to see the films he dishes out.

Comedy veteran gives "Paul" details

So we all are expecting great comedic performances in the uncoming movie Paul due to the sheer mass of comedy veterans in the film.  The movie is about two British sci-fi geeks played by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) who go America to experience the UFO culture and stumble across a deserted alien (Seth Rogan in CGI) in Area 51 who they help get back to his ship and they meet a bunch of crazy, hilarious characters.  The characters include Sigourney Weaver, Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, and more.

Superbad's Greg Mottola is directing the film as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are producing and watching over their baby.

There was talk over whether Jane Lynch would be in the flim, since she has brought laughter to so many in film like Role Models, 4o Year Old Virgin but MTV Movie Blogs caught up with her and got more information regarding her role in the film.

"In Paul, I am in one scene, but it's a pretty cool one", Lynch explained to MTV, "I run this little restaurant called the 'Ailey Inn.  It's an alien themed diner and of course they're geeks." She laughed.  "Nick Frost and Simon Pegg have just come from Comic-Con and they're reading their cartoon books.  They're so into this stuff, the alien stuff.  Seth Rogan plays the voice of the alien, and there's a lot of great people in the movie."

The recently wrapped film is due to be in theaters next year.    I'm excited... Seth's suit for the CGI is hilarious... I'm sure he feels the same.

Little Fockers film with Jessica Alba?

So we had actor Ben Stiller actually Meet the Parents in order to marry is longtime girlfriend Pam and encounter several problems with his future Father-in-law Robert De Niro.  Then after Murphey's Law seemed to ease up a little, the whole gang packed up to Meet the Fockers.  The Stiller/De Niro powerhouse lighted up the screen again in addition to Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand.  So he met the in-laws, then introduced said in-laws to his parents.... so what does that leave??

Apparently, Little Fockers!!!  That's right, we knew for some time that the next step in the Focker's lives would be children.  We all found out Pam was preggers in Meet the Fockers... but now I'm finding out that there is talk of a Little Fockers film to be in production.  Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant's director Paul Weitz is taking the reigns and key cast members will return.  However, there is talk of Jessica Alba playing a small yet vital role in the film.  She is currently negociating a part as a attractive pharmaceutical rep who's looks cause havoc on some male characters in the film.

Production is set to get underway in the next few months and 2010 release is possible

First Look at Seth's Green Hornet Costume

Splash News snapped some great first ever photos of actor Seth Rogan's Green Hornet costume and Kato in his duds!!

WELL, the bad news is that this isn't Seth Rogan or Jay Chou in the costumes.. it's their stunt doubles
But we were excited to just see the costumes in action and on someone!  Haven't heard much Green Hornet news in a while.  :)

Whip It Good!

So get excited, it's almost that time and I got some 5 new Whip It clips just for you!  CinemaBlend's very own Katy Rich called the film, "something wonderful... a brazenly feminist film that's a tremendous amount of fun!" Everyone is dishing out kudos to Drew Barrymore about her directorial debut.  Ellen Page is just a prizewinner in every movie she stars in and is currently receiving rave reviews about her role as a rollar derbey vixen.

Cinema Blend recently put up 5 brand new clips in addition to 4 that they put up earlier in the month...  Check them out below!!

(Untitled) Film: Too Strange or Brilliant?

I'm on the fence about the new film (Untitled), directed by Jonathon Parker being playing November 6th.   The film is a bit unusual, but then again... so is art to an extent.

Adrian Jacobs (Adam Goldberg), a composer who finds art in unconventional music and bucket kicking is finding it difficult to get his message within his "Art" across as many find the medium difficult to accept.  Adrian is constantly reminded of success through art by his brother Josh (Eion Bailey), a big-time successful painter adored by corporate clients and big spenders.  Adrian then meets Madeleine (Marley Shelton) at one of his shows who happens to own a Gallery.  She falls for him and his music and introduces him to a world of unusal art collectors and artists who share a passion for atypical art.
I don't know if I'm totally against going to see this film.  I imagine it would be abnormal, as art usually is, but there is a message within that most cannot see.   I'm kinda glad that Parker has come up with a fresh new satire that pokes fun of the contemporary art scene in New York.  It boggles my mind what some people call art and how much money people will dish out for it...

Leaked Video Footage of Christopher Nolan's "Inception"

So the film's first teaser trailer has already been released, but we got lucky to see some of the production process in Downtown LA!  While we all haven't seen much from Christopher Nolan's non-batman film Inception which will be released July 16, 2010, most people don't have the faintest idea of what the movie is about and the teaser trailer is definitely... a Teaser in the strictest sense of the word.

All we can gather is that the film is it’s a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind,” (Wikipedia)

It is know that director Christopher Nolan hates the Internet.  He likes for films to remain fresh and avoides publicity of his projects.  He feels that it strengthens the integrity of the film if you don't know much about it other than a few snippits here and there.

If you would like to be spoiled, the polt is revealed at InContention.com and you are more than welcome to read and learn what this movie is about once and for all.

All I know is that this film stars Leo Dicaprio is Cobb a "CEO type" that is a bit shady...  Ellen Page plays Ariadne, a college kid on Cobb's team.  Joseph Gorden-Levitt as Arthur, an asshole to the CEO; Ken Watanabe is Saito, who is blackmailing the CEO and Marion Cotillard as Lisa the Cobb's wife.

Here is the footage taken by an onlooker and we can say that the Freight running down the asphalt looks crazy...  makes me even more intrigued.

Thomas the Tank Movie is in the works

We have noticed a big trend in the movies... 1. Remakes 2. Horrible excuses for Scary movies and 3. Pre-school Properties turned into films

So It's not surprise that after seeing Tim Burton remake Alice in Wonderland, Wes Anderson ruin The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Spike Jonze take on Where the Wild Things Are that another pre-schooler favorite entity is being talked about in the film business.

THR says Josh Klausner is writing a movie based on the classic, 1940s toy train world created by Rev. W.V. Awdry.

This is said to be a step above the rest due to that fact that Thomas the Tank Engine is the worlds biggest pre-school property and bestselling in retailers.  If that's the case we can expect to find more Thomas the Tank Engine crap all over the place after the movie comes out...

There was a movie before based off of a 90s kid's show called Shining Time Station.  The show spun off into a 2000 feature film called Thomas the Magic Railroad starring Alec Baldwin.  Although Alec won't be there, expect to find this film focusing more on the 40s version on the tank engine that give joy to every 3 year old.

LC the Movie?!

That's right, Lauren Conrad/LC reality star turned Author is now in the movie business.  A movie deal landed in LC's lap after her book L.A. Candy became a bestseller.
Temple Hill Entertainment, which has the Twilight Saga under its belt, has purchased the rights to LC's story.  The bestselling book features Jane Roberts, a 19 year old who moves to LA finds fame as a reality star and is forced to deal with the repercussions of having TV celebrity status.

Sound familiar?

Yeah, some repercussions... she has no talent and is still in the spotlight by just being herself, becoming an author and attending every premier/party known to man. So tough...

"Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book," said Temple Hill partner, Marty Bowen. "We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn't at all what I'd planned for myself." (Perez Hilton.com)

Her book has been on the bestseller list for 14 weeks already and its quite unfortunate that we will see more books from LC.  Maybe I should just write a book... since ANYONE can these days.

Remade Nightmare on Elm Street Trailer Debuted

The latest franchise to get a makeover is Nightmare on Elm Street.  However, Jackie Earle Haley is replacing the original Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund (who's still Alive!) Why they cast Jackie to replace Robert, I don't know.  What I do know is that it'll be hard to imagine Robert not in his infamous makeup.

Freddy is dawning his claws and terrorizing hot teenagers' nightmares once more and here is the first trailer for the 2010 version of the film

Disney Ready to Replace Johnny Depp!

Actor Johnny Depp has addmitted to be "less enthusiatic" about returning to the role as Captain Jack Sparrow for the fourth installment Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.  Disney doesn't seem to care about Depp's feelings towards playing the clumsy captain yet another time.

As they reported to Cinema Blend, Disney seems to be so indifferent to Depp's feelings that they are ready and willing to replace him if he decides to "abandon ship".  Disney already offered Depp as much money as they could to keep him onboard for On Stranger Tides.  The actor is clearly aware that the last two movies "sucked", and has decided not to stick around for the fifth and sixth installments (which there is already talk of).

Fans have already voiced that they wouldn't go see the Pirate movies if Depp would not be in them...  We already know that Keira Knightley is not going to return as the beatuiful valkyrie Elizabeth Swan.  There has already been talk that Disney is thinking of replacements for Depp.   Replacement possibilities for Captain Jack Sparrow could be: James Franco, Ryan Gosling, Ben Whishaw and even Robert Pattinson...

So, what can we expect in the coming movies???  Well... I expect that Disney will not be making ANY money off ANY films after On Stranger Tides

Bush Administration believes Harry Potter Promoted Witchcraft!

So, yeah.. We all know that President George W. Bush wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but this is just plain ridiculous.

After George Bush left the White House, his former staffers came out of hiding and began to spill the beans about odd things that went on during his administration.  (I mean we all knew things were off about him, but now you Republicans can know who you let into the Presidential seat!)

One of those odd things happened to be the objections White House staffers had towards the consideration of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling for a Presidential Medal of Freedom.  According to Think Progress's review of Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer's new book, Speech-Less: Tales of a White House Survivor, key officials were against Rowling's consideration because they felt she "encouraged witchcraft".  Yeah, she never got the award...

So they guy can't even pronounce simple vocabulary properly, and we know he thought God told them to bomb Iraq, but this is just terrible.  People in the White House actually believed in witchcraft enough to hate an author for writing about it...
YES, people, NO, KEY STAFFERS in the white house BELIEVED IN WITCHCRAFT while they were working there!!!  WTF?!

Yeah, and people think a dude trying to health care for everyone is evil???   C'MON!

Jennifer's Body was Hot, but the Script was Not!

I just saw Jennifer's Body and clearly there were some issues with the writing on this one!!  I don't know whether to appreciate Diablo Cody's high school lingo sarcasm, or to actually hate it alltogether?!

This sexy thriller starts with a young girl named Needy (Amanda Seyfried) narrating as she goes about her day in a Correctional Facility.  Needy explains how she can't be the girl she used to due to the event that led up to imprisonment; CUE flashback...
Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) is the most beautiful, conceited and popular girl in her town and her unlikely best friend and bookworm Needy has always stuck by her side since the sandbox. Needy becomes less inclined to be at her BFFs side when Jennifer gains an appetite for human blood after a terrible fire at their local bar.  Needy begins to connect the dots as her male classmates begin to be brutally and mysteriously murdered ans must stop her bloodthirsty friend before she reaches her boyfriend Chip (Johnny Simmons).

While Megan Fox wasn't too bad in this film, her words were just unitelligable, high schoolish slang!!  I don't of course blame Megan for this horrible jargon, but I don't know what Diablo was thinking?

It was meant to be a sexy horror film with a wicked sense of humor, but I was laughing mostly at the horrible high school language that was going on!  Was that Diablo's plan?!  While every line in Juno was polished nicely, the results here are a bit more hit and miss.  It's obvious that Cody was going for a reversal of women-playing-the-victim type of film, however I wasn't sure of her percetption of high school lingo...

Slang like, "Freaktarded", "He's really Salty", "You're just Jealo", "You're giving me a wetty"...  I mean where is this coming from?  The entire movie was full of these distracting ridiculous phrases that I forgot this was a teen horror film!

Cody scored some satirical points for the manner communities handle tragedy as they used the song from the band that started all the chaos (only known to Needy and Jennifer) Low Shoulder as their anthem for strength and rememberance...  However, the script definitely needed some help...

I started to think Jennifer wasn't the villian here, Cody's script was.

This is why I didn't go Greek...

So, I just saw Sorority Row... yes I'm a little late, and I rememberd why I decided NOT to pledge during college.  UGH

"The bonds of sisterhood are unbreakable" HA, even if you all are under attack by a crazy psycho who hates your sorority due to a accidental murder???  HA eff that!  Independence is such a great quality to possess.

So, if you don't know the story a handfull of BFFs in Theta Pi decide to pull a prank on a dude who cheated on one of their "beloved" sisters.  The prank has their "beloved" sister Megan (Audrina Patridge) die at the hands of the prankee dude.  Things turn sour between the girls Ellie, Cassidy, Jessica, Claire and Chugs (Rumer Willis, Briana Evigan, Leah Pipes, Jamie Chung and Margo Harshman) as they decide what to do with the body.  As predicted, they simply toss the body in a well/drain thing and act like nothing ever happened.  (like we haven't seen that before)

AS months go by, the girls carry on with graduation and sorority life (PARTIES).  Cassidy is the "responsible" one and distances herself from the rest of the girls as she didn't agree with what they all did with Megan.  (There's always ONE survivor right?)
Well, at the day of graduation there is well a party at the Theta Pi house and of course people start dying at the hands of a mystery killer who's weapon is pimped out tire wrench similar to the one that killed their sister.  So the BFFs start freaking out and dying one by one after they all receive texts of the murder scene on their phones.  (shows what day and age this movie takes place huh? TEXTS OH NO!!!)

Well, after the girls start getting killed off one by one, turns out the mystery killer is someone you wouldn't think at all... which was weird, not exactly a great tactic on the directors part.  There's predictable and then Totally OFF THE WALL! (it didn't make sense even as the killer monologued)

So there.. three girls survive and the day is saved YAY! Greeks can sleep/drink at ease.

First of all, Audrina Patridge was in this movie... WHY? I don't know.  Maybe the director chose her cause she never looks at the camera.  HAHA
Second, poor Rumer Willis.  This was her big break and it had to be THIS movie? Bruce should've warned her about the script...
Third, any movie about Greeks is just hard to watch cause its always the same.  Beer/Booze and half naked wasted collge actors running around being well... college greeks.

I saw this online.. so I didn't waste my money, but man.... I'll ever get those 2 hours back.  :(

All About Steve's train wreck

Okay, so I'm not gonna write about this one long at all...

The movie was just trying to be funny toooooooo much that it hurt to watch.  Poor Sandy Bullock was just acting like a fool, (not her usual funny fool self we all know and love) but just a FOOL!

Bradley Cooper was just eye candy in this film since there were no other good looking men in it, and acted very well as any scared-to-death-of-a-stalker-bitch should be.
It got to a point in this film where I just couldn't stand to listen to her character, Mary talk or anyone else in the film actually.  My mother started to SNORE!  (not kidding)
The only funny parts were the non-chalant humor that was thrown in...  The rest was just pitiful.  I hate to say it Sandra, you're my girl and all, but ummm this film.... I can't have your back when the critics come hollarin...

Save your money all you Sandra Bullock Lovers... Save it, save yourself!!

When did "Legion" happen?

Has anyone really heard of this new movie coming out in 2010, Legion? I had to look up the movie trailer and find out what I was missing here after seeing the Film's poster at the movie theatre the other night.  I saw All About Steve which was just terrible... We'll talk about that in a minute.

But yeah here is the trailer for you all to catch up on and yeah, let me know what you think.

Apparently there is this desolate Diner in the midst of a biblical apocalypse due to a woman who is preggers with humanity's Savior!  That's right, she's "with Messiah" if you will...
Paul Bettany is this rogue angel that comes to save this group of unlucky dinner goers, Dennis Quaid, Kate Walsh, Lucas Black, Tyrese, and more...

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant receives Positive Reaction!

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant debuted at Austin's Fantastic Fest this weekend and I'm pleased to say it did astonishingly well!  On another positive note, it seems they got the cast locked on for a sequel as well.  The movie is based on a series of books, so Universal is hoping for a franchise... another Vamp Franchise?!  What's going on and why do I like it?!

Teenage male leads, Josh Hutcherson and newbie Chris Massoglia have confirmed that yes, they are signed on for a Cirque Du Freak 2.  :)

John C. Reilly made a great appearence and attempt to be ambiguous about said sequel at the post-viewing Q&A by making unintelligable, vague noises when asked about the sequel confirmation.

here are some movie stills for your enjoyment along with the trailer in case you missed it.

Unofficial photos of "The Other Guys"

So remember that crazy movie with crazy actors such as Will Ferrel, Mark Wahlburg, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson (The Rock)??  Yup that's right, The Other Guys, YAY you won the pop quiz... (ahem the title was in my Blog Header)

Well, amazing photos from the set in NYC were taken and released today and we just wanna say Marky Mark is looking damn good as the rugged cop he is!!!  Surprisingly, Will Ferrel looks very straightedged and those circa 1985 glasses are just adding to the look.

So apparently Will Ferrel IS the straightedged Detective Allen Gamble, a forensic scientist who prefers to crack his cases from the comfort of his office and Walhberg is his trigger happy partner Detective Terry Hoitz.  When the city can't turn to their super cops (Dwayne Johnson and Sammy J), this unlikely duo must has to step it up and get the job done.

Can't wait for the one liners!! Here are the photos

Sony pushes forward with Venom movie

So, according to cinemablend.com, Sony Pictures has decided to movie forward with a Venom movie.  The beloved Spderman villian was horribly portrayed in the awful film Spiderman 3, but that doesn't seem to put off Zombieland co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.  The writers have written up two drafts of Venom and the studio still has it and they're pushing forward.   Wernick stated that he wasn't sure when the film would go into production but I'm sure we'll be seeing Spiderman 4 (unfortunately) before the movie about this crazy villian.

More rumors have been circling around about Spidey 4 are that its shooting in early 2010 heading towards its May 4th 2011 premier.  Umm, if this isn't a cinema segway then I don't know what is... haha

The whole project is out of Reese and Wernick's hands but I'm happy that they had anything to do with it at all since I hear crazy good things about Zombieland.
