We have noticed a big trend in the movies... 1. Remakes 2. Horrible excuses for Scary movies and 3. Pre-school Properties turned into films
So It's not surprise that after seeing Tim Burton remake Alice in Wonderland, Wes Anderson ruin The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Spike Jonze take on Where the Wild Things Are that another pre-schooler favorite entity is being talked about in the film business.
THR says Josh Klausner is writing a movie based on the classic, 1940s toy train world created by Rev. W.V. Awdry.
This is said to be a step above the rest due to that fact that Thomas the Tank Engine is the worlds biggest pre-school property and bestselling in retailers. If that's the case we can expect to find more Thomas the Tank Engine crap all over the place after the movie comes out...
There was a movie before based off of a 90s kid's show called Shining Time Station. The show spun off into a 2000 feature film called Thomas the Magic Railroad starring Alec Baldwin. Although Alec won't be there, expect to find this film focusing more on the 40s version on the tank engine that give joy to every 3 year old.
