NEW MOON SNEAK PEEKS!

OMG!  New Moon is almost here everyone and I am EXCITED!  Having read all four twilight saga novels, I can barely contain myself whenever I see a new New Moon titled article in the headlines each day!  So you can imagine my excitement when I found out the trio of actors made a special appearance at the Comic Convention International in San Diego this week!  Robert Pattinson was looking absolutely delicous as ever as was the maturing Taylor Lautner.  Kristen Stewart was looking like a wreck with her new Joan Jett hairstyle.  I want K-Stew's old hair back PRONTO!  Anyway, after answering questions from the comic con audience special clips were shown from the movie!!!! Yes, there were sneak peeks ladies and gentleman!  As the crowd goes wild, the clips are played out and are simply amazing!  Twilighters can pinpoint the exact moment the clips take place in the book and are just loving every minute of them!
I have to admit I did watch the clips over and over again just cause I didn't want them to end!  I want more!  It's like giving a child caffine and them cutting them off till November!!!  My nerves can't take more of this!  As the actors all trudge off to finish their other films, they will not rendezvous until August to begin filming Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight saga.

Just for your viewing pleasure you obsessed twilighters you... here are the clips from the convention!

Ok now that you have watched these over and over again... Breathe and believe it!  The movie is almost here!
Get excited!

Where have all the scary movies gone?

okay so where have all the scary movies gone?  Did they die?  Did they get murdered by a disfigured killer in a mask with a gigantic butcher knife on the day after halloween?  WTF?!

So as you gather, you propbably have a general idea of what this blog is going to be about today.

As a child I was the biggest wimp when it came down horror flicks or thrillers.  I would duck under a pillow when i knew a scary point was approaching.  Or I would "pretend" to go get more popcorn or soda just so I could get out of the movie theatre or living room.  Let's just say it, I was a wuss.  Then I grew up and found I absolutely loved the thrill of it all!  So i went to scary movies and rented them and watched them until I was completely scared!  However, the anticpation of that scary moment is what I seeked out most.  So, why is it that I find myself without it NOWADAYS!?

Where have all the scary movies gone?  One sad example of a scary movie was A Huanting in Connecticut.  What a sorry excuse for a movie that was.   I was expecting glam and glitz, but was left with dull and borning.   I figured since it was a movie based on true event I was stricking gold, but no my friends... NO GOLD.  I supremely disappointed at the effects and scare factor in this movie.  I felt for the plot cause you know... it's a true story, but the rest of it was just torture to watch.   Yet another scary movie without the "scare".

Other disappointments were My Bloody Valentine 3-D (pitiful), Friday the 13th (released 2009) and Obsessed (oh lord)... I didn't even want to see anymore scary movies this year for the fear of losing my money!  It seems that Horror filmmakers are either struggling for plots to go along with sound effects or just plain trying to gross me out with movies like Saw 25 or whatever...  I'll have you know I don't get scared in movies like Saw4 and Hostel... I get physically sick to my stomach.  Thanks hollywood for coming up with the "Torture Porn" genre of horror.  Can't get ehough.  UGH!

Next year I am hoping that someone somewhere will own up to the horrow drama and scare the living daylights out of me.  I have to admit, the last scary movie I had to walk out of was "The Exorsist: The Beginning"!  It freaked the hell outa me.  So, until then I wait... I wait for my scary moment anticipation to come back...  We need more movies like "The Ring" or " The Grudge".   Maybe Hollywood should just keep remaking Asian Horror flicks.  They got the scare factors down pat.

So where have all the scary movies gone?  If anyone knows of a great scary movie to watch. please let me know where I can find it!!

ciao

So here is my FIRST ever Blog about movies!   I felt that since I love movies so much, I should write about them on a weekly basis.

Jump to what this blog will be about:
MOVIES! and my critiques of said movies and your thoughts as well.  I am always enticed by critics and their shameful or praising words regarding new flicks in town.  So let's begin shall we?

Let's see what just came out recently?
Oh yes, Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.
Now if you are a avid Harry Potter reader you will notice that there are some details lacking in this new film.  The action and plot are, yet again, amazing.  However, as a Potter book reader, I was a bit disappointed.  Here is why...
Now, our protagonists are in the midst of what we like to call High School.  Hormones are rushing through each and every student in Harry's class it seems and I couldn't get enough of the puppy displayed through J.K's book!  I was looking forward to all the secret make-outs, arguements, tears and sneaking around of "lovers" throughout Hogwarts in the film, but I found myself sitting impatiently till I was shocked by end credits!!  WTF?  Here I thought the 6th film is going to be the "steamy" one and instead I was left with an abrupt ending.
Well, maybe the 7th will be more to my liking since there are 2 parts to the upcoming film now in production.

Another movie I recently saw was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.   I was impressed by the amount of action and blasting and fighting of machinery on the big screen.  But I was not impressed by the plot at all.  Critics are fuming at this disappointment, however, I can agree with Michael Bay when he responded, "This film was made for its target audience, not for the acting".   Take that you pompous conservative critics you!
I couldn't get enough of the fight scenes and Josh Duhamel's sexyness.  But i could've lived without the dismal plot tied into it.  Yet, I enjoyed it!  The soundtrack is pretty amazing too.  I recommend you take a listen.

Well those are all the movies I have to write about this evening.  I will be seeing more and more so stay tuned!

Goodnight!
