Tommy Lee Jones to Direct Matt McConaughey!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tommy Lee Jones is ready for his next big gig behind the camera.  The Oscar-winner plans to direct and co-star in an adaptation of Michael Connelly's bestselling crime novel, The Lincoln Lawyer.  This isn't Jones' first barbeque in the director's seat though.  He had his directorial debut filming, Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.  So here's hoping he does a fantastic job!  :)

This film is NOT about our 16th President, if that's what you were thinking.  Instead, it's about a criminal defense lawyer, Matthew McConaughey, who literally works out of his car-- a Lincoln Town Car (getting a visual?)  Used to handling small time criminals (ahem sound familiar? A Time to Kill perhaps?), his career does a 180 as he finds himself defending a wealthy realtor accused of murder.

Jones' role in this film is unknown, but it's very unlikely he'll play the part of the wealthy client since the novel describes him as a younger man.  Maybe he'll take on a small supporting role?  Perhaps the client-turned-driver?  Or maybe the private detective that works with McConaughey?  Who knows...

Seems like the two actors would be good together, they both lived in Texas.  Couldn't hurt right?
